Cookie policy
Version 2026-10-18, effective 18 October 2026.
In short: civicoach only uses technical storage that is needed for what you ask it to do, plus statistics with no identifier at all. No profiling, advertising or third-party cookies. That is why we don't ask for consent and you see no banner.
Why there is no banner
Italian law (Art. 122 of the Privacy Code, implementing Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive) requires consent to store or read information on your device, except when it is needed to provide the service you asked for. For that "technical" storage it is enough to inform you, which is what this page does (Garante privacy, Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools, 10 June 2021, §§ 5 and 7).
The same Guidelines also treat as technical the statistics tools used only by the site owner, for aggregated statistics, without the ability to single out a person. Our statistics go further: they store nothing on your device and use no identifier at all (see below).
If we ever added non-technical tools (for example advertising, or analytics with identifiers), we would first ask for your consent with a proper banner, where closing it with the "X" means no.

None of these is used to follow you on other sites, and none is read by third parties.
Statistics
To learn which pages are useful we count visits on our own server. When you change page, the app sends our server only the kind of page you opened (for example "/feedback/:id", never the real id). The server adds one to a daily counter with the page, the app language and the country (derived from the connection; uncommon countries are grouped as "other", so nobody can be singled out).
We don't store your IP address, browser type, any visitor identity or the full address of the page you came from, and we don't count "unique visitors". There is no cookie and nothing is written to your device. The counters are not personal data; we keep them for 26 months.
Third-party content
Fonts and audio are served from our own domain: no Google Fonts, no embedded videos, no social buttons, no advertising pixels.
One temporary exception: the first time you record a spoken answer, your browser downloads the speech-model files from huggingface.co (Hugging Face, Inc., United States). Hugging Face receives your IP address, like any site you download a file from. It doesn't receive the audio and sets no cookies through our site. We are moving these files to our own domain.
How to delete this data
- On Delete my data, use "Clear data on this device": it removes everything listed above in one click.
- Or use your browser settings ("Clear site data").
If you block cookies, exercises still work, but we can't save your progress or sign you in.
