Terms of service
Version 2026-10-18, effective 18 October 2026.
These terms govern your use of civicoach (civicoach.app). By using the service you accept them. We wrote them plainly: if anything is unclear, write to support@civicoach.app.
1. Who we are
civicoach is a service of Mario Corea, private individual (no VAT number yet), Via Laura Solera Mantegazza 5, 20121 Milano (MI). Email: support@civicoach.app.
2. What the service is
civicoach is a practice tool for the language exams required for citizenship, starting with Italian at B1 level. It offers exercises and mock exams in the exam format, written by us, and automatic feedback on written and spoken answers generated by an artificial intelligence, with explanations in your language.
The service is not:
- an exam, a certification or a proof of level;
- connected with the bodies that issue the certificates (see Not affiliated);
- advice on citizenship, immigration or the documents to submit;
- a course with teachers.
We cannot guarantee that you will pass the exam. Scores are practice estimates, not official results: the real exam has examiners, rules and conditions of its own. For dates, fees and requirements, only the certifying body is authoritative.
3. Artificial intelligence
Feedback on writing and speaking is generated by an AI model and can contain mistakes. We say so on every feedback screen. Details are on the Use of AI page.
4. Who may use it
The service is only for people 18 or older (Adults only). To create an account or get AI feedback you confirm that you are an adult.
5. Free tier
Free today, with no obligation to buy: reading, listening and grammar exercises, one complete mock exam, the exam guides and one AI-graded piece of writing. We may change what the free tier includes in the future. What you have already done and saved stays yours under the privacy notice.
The free tier is provided as is: we do our best to keep it correct and available, but it may be interrupted for maintenance or faults.
6. Account
You sign in with a link sent to your email, without a password. You are responsible for access to your mailbox. The account is personal: don't share it. You can delete it at any time from Delete my data.
7. What is not allowed
- using the service during a real exam, or to cheat;
- sharing your account or reselling access;
- entering other people's personal data, or content that is unlawful, offensive or infringes others' rights;
- copying exercises, audio or feedback in bulk, including with automated tools, or republishing them;
- bypassing usage limits, attacking or overloading the service, or trying to get the AI to do anything other than give feedback.
If you break these rules we may suspend or close your account, after warning you where possible. If you have an active pass and the suspension is not due to a serious breach on your part, we refund the unused part.
8. Your texts
The texts and recordings you produce remain yours. You allow us to process them only to provide the service: grading them, showing you the feedback and keeping them for the time stated in the privacy notice (texts are deleted after 90 days unless you choose to keep them). We don't use them to train AI models and we don't publish them. Please don't write real personal details: invent them, the score is the same.
9. Our content
The exercises, texts, audio, explanations, design and code of civicoach are original and protected. You may use them for your own exam preparation. You may not copy, republish or use them commercially without our written permission. Exam names (for example CILS, CELI, PLIDA, CERT.IT) belong to their owners; we use them only to say which exam the practice is for.
10. Liability
We are liable for damage caused by our wilful misconduct or gross negligence, and in every case where the law does not allow liability to be limited. We are not liable for decisions based only on practice scores, such as when to book the exam, nor for the outcome of the exam. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under consumer law.
11. Paid pass
The paid pass is governed by the terms below and by the Withdrawal and refunds page.
- What it includes: for 60 days from activation, all mock exams, up to 30 AI corrections of writing and up to 20 of speaking, with explanations in your language.
- Price: the one shown on the pass page at the time of purchase, VAT included. One-off payment, no automatic renewal.
- Who sells it: payment is handled by Stripe Managed Payments; the seller of record is Link, LLC, which issues the receipt. We provide the service.
- Personal use: the pass is tied to one email account and one active session at a time.
- Limits: the correction limits keep the price low; you can always see them on the Account page.
- Withdrawal: you have 14 days to withdraw with the "Withdraw from the contract here" button on the Account page. See Withdrawal and refunds.
- Legal guarantee: if the service does not conform to what we promised, you are entitled to have it fixed or refunded under Articles 135-octies ff. of the Italian Consumer Code.
12. Changes to the service and to these terms
We may update these terms for legal, technical or security reasons, or because the service changes. Significant changes are announced on the site and, if you have an active pass, by email at least 15 days in advance; a pass already bought stays under the terms in force when you bought it, unless the change is in your favour. You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time.
13. Governing law, complaints and courts
Italian law applies. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you keep the mandatory protections of your country's law. For any complaint, write to support@civicoach.app: we answer within 14 days. For disputes with a consumer, the court of the consumer's place of residence has jurisdiction (Art. 66-bis Italian Consumer Code).
These terms are written in Italian, which is the authoritative version, and translated into English.
